Centralized And Shunt Monitoring Power Supply Of Security Camera
Sep 02, 2022
Security cameras are generally powered by 12V DC DC, ball machines are generally powered by 24V AC, some security cameras are directly powered by 220V AC, and some household network security cameras are powered by 5V. There are generally three power supply modes for front-end security cameras in the project. The near end power supply of 12V DC power supply can generally be placed in the outdoor protective cover or in a separate power box within 2 meters near the security camera. If it is placed on the protective cover, the protective cover is generally larger, because the security camera and the power supply will generate heat after working for a long time, and there is a large space in the cover to facilitate the overall heat dissipation.
AC24V monitoring power supply is selected because the higher the voltage is, the smaller the loss is for the same transmission distance. When the voltage is high, the load can obtain a relatively sufficient voltage. At the same time, since AC 24V is used, the power synchronization can be selected when debugging the monitoring security camera, so that the image field frequencies of different devices in the whole security camera monitoring system can be synchronized.
This problem often embarrasses young and inexperienced engineers. During the implementation of many schemes, it was found that the power capacity originally designed was insufficient and additional equipment was needed, resulting in wrangling with Party A. In fact, since the monitoring and security camera has a large starting current at the moment of starting, coupled with the loss of long-distance transmission in the project, the power supply required for the monitoring and security camera is not simply the sum of the rated power of all the monitoring and security cameras. The correct way is to add the rated power of the monitoring and security cameras of the whole monitoring system and multiply it by 1.3 times, which is the actual power required by the monitoring and security cameras, and then add about 30% loss; Finally, add a margin of 30% for future capacity expansion.
The most taboo is that the entire security camera monitoring system shares a power supply. The reasons are as follows:
1. During system maintenance, it is often necessary to turn on and off the power. All monitoring and security cameras start up at the same time when the power is turned on. The starting current is particularly large, which has a great impact on the power supply and will burn the power supply seriously.
2. All monitoring and security cameras share a power supply. When the power supply fails, the whole closed-circuit monitoring system will be paralyzed. In particular, the images of some important entrances and exits cannot be monitored, which may cause unnecessary trouble.
Choose independent power supply to pave the way for subsequent maintenance.
